Does the employer have to sign up in order for its employees to get the savings?

Yes. The program is designed to help small businesses provide benefits to their employees. It is a way for them to meet increasing insurance costs that impact their ability to attract and retain good people.

Do all employees have to participate?

No, Participation is strictly voluntary. One person can use the program or they all can.

What is the enrollment process?

Employees are not asked to specifically enroll in the program. Only the employer is asked to complete a simple information sheet that lets Vision Source know whom the company contact is, and how many employees are in that organization. Once that information is received, Vision Source sends sufficient membership cards to the employer and asks that the employer distribute them accordingly. The information sheet also enables Vision Source to send information brochures.

How does a Vision Source office know a new patient is a 20/20 participant?

The employee merely presents the enrollment card previously distributed by the employer at the time of the and this information is then entered into his or her permanent office record. visit

What about family members?

If the new company doesn't have vision coverage, Vision Source will be happy to sign them up.

Does payment have to be made at the time of service in order to get the 20/20 benefit?

Because Vision Source is offering this as a special benefit, payment is expected at the time of the visit.

How does the program interact with other insurance coverage?

Discounts do not replace individual health care insurance. If participants do have coverage for services or products, those rates will apply. Our program will be applied only to non-insured products and services not included in your insurance plan.

What reductions are offered?

Participants in the program get a 20-35% reduction in the usual and customary fees related to eye exams and other general eye care needs; 20-35% reduction in the usual cost of frames, lenses, and special features, and preferred pricing on contact lenses. All are offered as a reduction in fees for payment at time of service and cannot be combined with other offers made by the individual Vision Source Offices.

Does Vision Source inflate its fees in order to cover the 20/20 program?

Absolutely not. The reduction is taken directly from the office's standard rates as a way of saying "thank you" to those participating in the program.

Vision Source 20/20 Savings Program

Any company of any size qualifies for this program. Family members of employers and employees are eligible for savings. Individuals who would like to participate in the program can do so by having their company sign up for the Savings program.

The VS Savings Plan offers saving of 20% to 35%

  • 20% off all services: office visits, CEX, contact lens exams, fitting fees, FB removals, red eye visits, etc.

  • 20% off yearly contact lens supply orders (manufacturer rebate still applies), 50% off spec Rx when ordered at same time as yearly contact lens supply.

  • 30% off all frames and 50% off all second pairs and sun RX.

  • 20% off all Sun Clicks

  • 35% off all lenses and lens coatings.

Sign-up process

  • Business owner/office manager/HR fills out Employer enrolment form (attaches a list of employees if possible). Have 2 membership cards with you and a few flyers to hand to the owner. Write the business owners name on one card and hand the other card to the owner to fill out for an employee.

  • ​​​​​​​ If you fax over the enrolment form, then let the Business owner know that we will have Savings Plan membership cards dropped off/mailed and the employees will receive their cards at the time of their appt/examination. They must remember to mention that they are a member of VS 20/20 Savings Plan at the time of making the appt. The card will be attached to the routing slip at the appt time.

  • Write your name on the Enrollment form so that you receive your $10.00 commission when you hand the form to Dr. V
